One of the greatest shooters in NBA history and future Hall of Famer Ray Allen is eyeing a return to the NBA, according to reports. Allen, 41, is contemplating a return to the court after taking the past 2 seasons off.
According to a report by ESPN, Allen’s representatives have reached out to the Golden State Warriors to gauge their interest in adding Allen to their roster. Allen is also not absolutely sure he wants to return but he is intrigued by the possibility of playing for another championship, and in addition to Golden State, he would consider joining the Cleveland Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers.
According to reports, the interest between Allen and Golden State is mutual.
Although Allen is close with LeBron James, James has not been actively recruiting Allen to join the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to Cleveland.com.
Allen, who has a 18.9 ppg average over his career, is a 10-time All-Star and haswon championships with Boston in 2008 and Miami in 2013.
