The Utah Jazz have traded forward Simone Fontecchio to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for a 2024 second round draft pick ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Additionally, the Jazz will be receiving veteran forward Kevin Knox as part of the deal, according to The Athletic’s James L. Edwards III.
The Jazz will also receive the rights to Gabriele Procida who was the 36th overall pick in the 2022 NBDA Draft.
Fontecchio signed a two-year, $6.25 million contract with the Jazz during the 2022 offseason following his decision to move from playing in Europe to the NBA.
Fontecchio has averaged 8.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists for the Jazz this season.
