The New York Knicks are finalizing a trade that will see them acquire Bojan Bogdanovic and Alec Burks from the Detroit Pistons ahead of today’s NBA Trade Deadline, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
As part of the deal, the Pistons will receive Quentin Grimes, Evan Fournier, Malachi Flynn, Ran Arcidiacono and two second round draft picks.
Burks, 32, is an impending unrestricted free agent and Bogdanovic’s $19 million salary for 2024/25 is only partially guaranteed for $2 million but the Knicks are expected to fully Bogdanovic’s contract for next season, as it allows them to potentially trade him in the future, according to The Athletic’s Fred Katz.
Bogdanovic is averaging 20.2 points per game while Burks is averaging 12.6 points per game.
