The Cleveland Cavaliers are fresh off one blockbuster trade and that may mean that they aren’t interested in another, especially if it involves forward Kevin Love.
Love’s name has been mentioned in trade rumors since last year and those rumors have only continued to heat up in recent months.
Despite the speculation the Cavs reportedly have “no plans” to move Love after including him in a potential deal earlier this summer for then-Pacers forward Paul George, according to Zach Lowe of ESPN.com.
Cavs coach Tyronn Lue is excited for what could be a big season out of Love.
“Kevin is going to have the best year that he’s had here,” Lue said in an interview with ESPN.com.
“I thought he was great anyway. You keep bringing up [Chris] Bosh. What did Bosh average in Miami? Kevin averaged almost 20 [points] and 10 [rebounds] with two other All-Stars. If you are on a championship-caliber team, you have to sacrifice. But this year is going to be a big opportunity for him. We’re going to play through him more. He’s going to get those elbow touches again.”
