It’s always tricky when adding any free agent player to a team, especially in terms of developing chemistry.
In Miami the Heat are happy about what’s been developing between free agent pickup Kelly Olynyk and Hassan Whiteside.
Chemistry.
According to Ira Winderman of the Sun-Sentinel, Olynyk and Whiteside have developed a friendship since Olynyk came over via a five-year, $50 million deal.
“He’s a great guy, a great character, a super nice guy,” Olynyck said of Whiteside.
“But he’s a beast. I’m really excited to play with him and be able to play with a guy of his size and his abilities on the floor, defensively, offensively, on the glass.
“He’s awesome to be around and [I’m] really looking forward to playing with him.”
Olynyk is also embracing South Florida and the beautiful weather.
“You’re always warm, always ready to go” he said.
“I’ve been here for two days, and I already love it.”
