The Indiana Pacers seem to have a new energy and confidence this season and star guard Victor Oladipo sees a bright future if the team can get everything figured out.
Indiana has a new head coach in Nate Bjorkgren, and the team has responded with a new energy.
While the Pacers stormed out of the gate of the regular season notching three straight wins, the Boston Celtics were able to overcome a 17-point deficit to hand Indiana a loss on Tuesday night.
Despite taking the L, Oladipo, who scored 24 points against Boston, is excited for what could be in store for the Pacers moving forward.
“The ceiling for this team is very scary,” Oladipo said, according to David Woods of The Indianaplis Star. “We can be a very good team once we figure everything out. We’ve just got to keep getting better, not get discouraged.
“Coach is amazing. Coach knows what he’s doing. We’ve just got to trust him. He’s going to trust us. We’re going to lift each other up. When you have that type of combination and the talent that we have, and the coaching staff and the coach that we have, the potential is scary.”
