The Los Angeles Clippers have agreed to terms on a three-year, $30 million contract with Dallas Mavericks’ athletic wing Derrick Jones Jr. on a three-year, $30 million contract, according to ESPN’s Ohm Youngmisuk.
Jones started 66 games and averaged a career-high 8.6 points and 34.3% shooting from 3-point range last season for Dallas and was a key part of the Mavs starting lineup that reached the NBA Finals.
With the Clippers losing superstar Paul George, who committed to signing with the Philadelphia 76ers in unrestricted free agency, they will be hard at work on shaping a roster that can continue to contend in a deep Western Conference without the leading offensive threat.
