The Los Angeles Dodgers have been battling it out with the likes of the San Diego Padres, the St. Louis Cardinals, and other teams to negotiate a blockbuster trade for Washington Nationals slugger Juan Soto as the trade deadline looms.
However, the Dodgers seem to be pulling ahead of the race with an aggressive approach.
According to USA Today’s Bob Nightengale, the Dodgers have been more aggressive than both the Padres and the Cardinals, in their trade proposals with the Nationals, showing their intent on landing the young slugger in what would likely be the biggest trade to go down at the deadline.
The Dodgers, already a favorite to head to the World Series, may be the most aggressive in their chase for Soto, but they may not have the assets available on the level of both the Cards and the Padres, to win an apples-to-apples comparison offer.
