The Phoenix Suns are one of the exciting, ascending teams in the NBA this season, carrying their strong play from October’s NBA bubble to the 2020-2021 regular season where they have established themselves as a Western Conference powerhouse.
While the headlines will talk about superstars such as guard Devin Booker, big man DeAndre Ayton, and point guard Chris Paul, Paul was quick to point out the Suns strong bench play as a big factor in their success, following the Suns win over the Chicago Bulls.
“It’s such a luxury to have, but we expect that. We talk about it all the time, we’re one of the few teams in the league that has a bench that comes in and they’re basically starters,” Paul said, according to Gerald Bourguet of Fan Sided.
It’s the bench play of Dario Saric, Frank Kaminsky, Cameron Payne, and Cam Johnson that have stood out, and their collective strong play fueled another win for the Suns, who are now 21-11 as they sit near the top of the Western Conference standings, a game back from the Los Angeles Lakers.
