Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault has been officially named the NBA Coach of the Year for the 2023-2024 season after leading the young team to the top seed in the Western Conference.
Daigneault now joins former head coach Scott Brooks as the only other coach in Thunder franchise history to have won the NBA Coach of the Year Award.
After winning only 40 games last season, the Thunder had an epic turnaround this season on route to an impressive 57-25 record and beating the NBA Champion Denver Nuggets three out of four times during the regular season to claim the top seed.
Additionally, the Thunder, who have an average age of 23.9 years old, became the youngest team in NBA history to secure the #1 seed in a conference.
