Broncos Have No Interest in Trading Courtland Sutton

Courtland Sutton is staying put

1 Min Read

Rumors began swirling this week that the Pittsburgh Steelers were on the verge of making a trade for a playmaker and many thought that they were poised to land Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton, but water has been thrown on that fire.

According to 9NEWS Broncos reporter Mike Klis, the Broncos are likely keeping Sutton – “It’s not Courtland. No plans to trade him,” Klis wrote in a post on social media.  “As (George) Paton and (Sean) Payton let Broncoland know in recent weeks, Sutton (is) in good standing.”

Sutton seemed like a perfect fit in Pittsburgh, having played with new Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson during Wilson’s recent stint in Denver, and given the Steelers need for a deeper receiving unit.

Sutton is coming off a season in which he reeled in 772 yards and a career-best 10 touchdowns for the Broncos.
