Dallas Cowboys’ veteran running back Ezekiel Elliott is now under investigation regarding the incident that occurred between he and a security guard in Las Vegas during a music festival, according to TMZ Sports.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department stated that they were contacted by Kyle Johnson, 19, who is claiming that he is the victim committed by Elliot during the incident.
The incident occurred back on May 19th during the Electric Daisy Carnival when Elliott knocked Johnson to the ground during a dispute that took place in the parking lot.
As a result, Elliott was placed in handcuffs and detained but he was not arrested because Johnson indicated that he did not want to press charges.
Police described the incident as “battery”, and Johnson had publicly demanded a “sincere” apology from Elliott threatening to explore legal options if Elliott did not comply.
Elliott’s camp claims that Elliot is the victim of an extortion scheme from Johnson, saying that Johnson was more interested in getting money than getting justice.
The NFL decided not to suspend Elliott for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.
