Five days ago, the Dallas Cowboys traveled to Oxnard, California for another of year of training camp. Since training camp began, every Dallas Cowboys player was in attendance except for one key player.
Ezekiel Elliott, the Cowboys no. 1 running back was a no-show and continues to be a no show since camp began. Since the end of the 2018 season, Elliott has been asking the Dallas Cowboys for a new contract. When Elliott was drafted with the fourth overall pick by Dallas, he signed a 4 year rookie contract worth $24,956,341. He also will receive a signing bonus of $16,350,066 and is garnered $24,506,340.
Entering the 2019 season Ezekiel Elliott has two more seasons left on his contract and is trying to ask for a pay raise even though he has 2 years left on his contract.
Since being in the league, Elliott has had some questionable judgement calls that even lead him to a 6-game suspension in 2017. During his absence the Dallas Cowboys went .500 going 3-3.
Now on day 4 of the Cowboys training camp Ezekiel decided to leave the country. According to Kevin Turner of 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, he reveals where Elliott will be spending his time during this long holdout:
BREAKING: I don’t normally dabble in the breaking news field, and this might not even qualify, but a source tells me Zeke is headed to Cabo. #ZekeWatch.
So there’s that. @1053thefan

My personal opinion is that he is going to Cabo is because he wants to get away from the media and fans as he has been around the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex and not at camp as expressed by Jane Slater of the NFL Network.
Just got off the phone with Dustin Nguyen who snapped this photo and posted to Facebook afterwards. Tells me Zeke came in at 12pm cst. Looked like he had just worked out. Was shocked to see him at Benedict’s brunch spot. Time stamp and location verified pic.twitter.com/hSKqVrc6bO
