Regarding simple battery in the state of Louisiana, punishment can include a fine of no more than $1,000 and imprisonment for no more than six months, or both, and is defined as battery committed without the consent of the victim.
Beckham is already under some scrutiny for handing out money to LSU players during the celebration, a clear violation of the NCAA rules, and something that the school is currently investigating.
