The Philadelphia Eagles are ready to officially move on from veteran quarterback Carson Wentz and will start to field trade offers for the one-time franchise signal-caller, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport.
The Eagles are moving forward with quarterback Jalen Hurts and new head coach Nick Sirianni, who was hired this offseason following the departure of Doug Pederson, and the future in Philly won’t include Wentz.
Wentz threw for 2,620 yards, 16 touchdowns, and a league-worst 15 interceptions over his 12 games starting for the Eagles last season.
