The Arizona Cardinals have acquired veteran tight end Zach Ertz from the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday, in exchange for cornerback Tay Gowan and a 2022 fifth-round pick, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Arizona is acquiring Ertz with the idea of making him a featured part of its offense. The Cardinals lost Maxx Williams, their primary tight end, for the season due to a knee injury that occurred this week.
Ertz has 18 receptions for 189 yards and two TDs this season for the Eagles.
