Arizona Cardinals offensive tackle Desmond Harrison has been charged with assault on a person by strangulation and assault on a female by a male, according to Yahoo Sports’ Eric Edholm.
The Greensboro, North Carolina, police department has confirmed that a felony arrest warrant has been issued for Harrison,according to Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobieski.
Police spokesman Ron Glenn stated that a report against Harrison was filed on Tuesday.
Harrison, 25, was claimed off waivers by the Cardinals on June 6th, following his release from the Cleveland Browns.
The Cardinals announced that they have released Harrison, shortly after the news broke regarding the warrant for his arrest.
Harrison started off the 2018 season as the starting left tackle for the Browns, but was supplanted by Greg Robinson during the second half of the season.
Harrison was ultimately waived after he missed multiple team meetings.
