The Arizona Cardinals have signed former Pittsburgh Steelers veteran running back James Connor to a one-year deal one day following his visit to the organization on Monday, according to FOX Sports’s Jay Glazer.
Conner recently underwent surgery to fix a turf-toe injury and is expected to be fully cleared by June.
Conner broke out in 2018, when he rushed for 973 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 55 receptions for the Steelers. Since then, he has struggled with injuries, and was on pace for a 1,000-yard season last year before testing positive for COVID-19 in November.
Conner finished the 2020 season with 721 yards and 6 touchdowns.
