Houston Texans executive vice president of football operations Jack Easterby, who was hired back in 2019, is officially out from the organization, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Texans owner and CEO Cal McNair hired Nick Caserio as general manager, pairing him with Easterby in 2021, and Easterby was given responsibility over personnel following the firing of head coach and general manager Bill O’Brien.
O’Brien was fired following an 0-4 start to the 2020 season.
Easterby has spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he was their character coach and initially served as team chaplain, as well as the New England Patriots, where he served as their character coach and spent six seasons.
