The Houston Texans continue their search for their next head and have completed an interview with former Detroit Lions head coach Jim Caldwell, according to an official team announcement.
Caldwell coached the Lions from 2014 until 2017, and took a year off from football before taking a job as an assistant head coach with the Miami Dolphins, but would take a leave of absence due to medical reasons.
Caldwell was the successor to Tony Dungy with the Indianapolis Colts, where he was at the helm for three seasons. Caldwell was fired after the Colts when 2014 during the 2011 season, a season without quarterback Peyton Manning, who missed the entire year due to neck issues.
