Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Ed Oliver was arrested on Saturday night in Houston, Texas on gun and DWI charges, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.
Oliver, 22, failed a field sobriety test and underwent a mandatory blood test, although no drugs were found during a search of his vehicle, according to the Montgomery County Police Reporter.
Oliver, who was the 9th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, collected 43 tackles, five sacks, two passes defended, and a forced fumble as a rookie for the Bills, and seemed to be poised to take his production even further in 2020.
Now, the Bills have to see if the league is going to suspend Oliver under the league’s personal conduct policy, which would mean Oliver would forfeit the remaining $6.8 million in guarantees, according to Spotrac’s Michael Ginnitti.
