Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is currently working through a thumb injury that he hopes won’t cost him any playing time.
Stafford hurt his thumb during the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Washington Football Team, but is optimistic about playing against the Carolina Panthers in Week 11.
“I did get some X-rays after the game and they were negative,” Stafford said, via Pro Football Talk. “No fractures or breaks in there. A couple, I’m sure, tests throughout the week but, you know, I’m going to do everything I can to be out there. I’m going to do what I can. So I like my chances.”
