The Chicago Bears have fired head coach Matt Nagy and general manager Ryan Pace following the team’s 6-11 record this season, according to ESPN’s Kevin Seifert.
Nagy, 43, was named NFL Coach of the Year after his first season in 2018 when guided the Bears to a 12-4 record and a postseason berth for the first time in right years. Nagy was celebrated for his offensive approach.
The Bears followed it up with consecutive 8-8 seasons in 2019 and again in 2020 and posted an overall record of 34-31 under Nagy in the regular season and 0-2 in the playoffs during his four year tenure.
