Count the Chicago Bears out of the running for Indianapolis Colts All-Pro running back Jonathan Taylor as the Colts’ number of trade options continues to dwindle ahead of their self-imposed deadline on Tuesday.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter – “The Bears won’t be trading for Jonathan Taylor”.
The Bears had been one of several teams linked to Taylor since the Colts made the decision to allow him to seek a trade following stalled contract extension talks between the two sides, among teams such as the Miami Dolphins.
The 24-year old Taylor made the Pro Bowl in 2021, in addition to being named First-Team All-Pro in that season and has established himself as one of the best running backs in the entire league during his first few seasons.
For now, the Bears seem completely content on moving forward with Khalil Herbert as their apparent lead back.
