The Miami Dolphins may not be done adding to their defensive backfield, despite selecting Oregon safety Jevon Holland during the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, as the team is bringing in veteran safety Malik Hooker for a visit, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.
Hooker has spent his entire career with the Indianapolis Colts, who decided to decline Hooker’s fifth-year option last year. While the Colts were interested in bringing Hooker back this offseason, a deal never materialized.
Hooker suffered a season-ending torn Achilles injury during Week 2 when the Colts took on the Minnesota Vikings. Hooker has dealt with a number of issues during his four-year career, and has never played a full 16 game season.
The Colts drafted Hooker in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
