Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur has done his best to put out the flames of rumors indicating that superstar Aaron Rodgers will be the quarterback for another team by the start of the 2021 regular season.
LaFleur pulled no punches when addressing Rodgers’ future with the Packers.
“Is that a trick question?,” LaFleur said, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette’s Ryan Wood. “Absolutely. There’s no doubt about it. You’re talking about the guy who’s going to win the MVP of the league. We’re not in this position without him.”
If it’s true, then the Packers need to get to work on obliging Rodgers who is seeking a stronger commitment from the organization following the drafting of quarterback Jordan Love in the 2020 NFL Draft.
A new contract for Rodgers could be on the way.
