The Tennessee Titans are looking to ensure that breakout outside linebacker Harold Landry stays with the team as Landry is set to hit unrestricted free agency where he is set to generate a lot of interest.
According to Pro Football Network’s Aaron Wilson, Titans general manager Jon Robinson is hoping that the organization and Landry can work out a new deal to prevent the talented linebacker from hitting free agency later this month.
“I hope so, but there’s a lot of factors that go into that,” Robinson said when asked about Landry’s potential return. “He’s certainly worked hard. He’s been about what we’re about. We’re going to do our best to keep him.”
“Yeah, we’ve had some discussions,” Robinson said. “We will continue to have those discussions. We’ve got a meeting later this week. Continue to work through that situation, we’ve got a little bit of time on the tag decision. We’ve got a little more time on hopefully a long-term solution. Continue to work through that. We’ll see how it goes.”
Landry is coming off the biggest season of his career where he notched a career-high 12 sacks for the Titans.
