The Chicago Bears and veteran wide receiver Allen Robinson are not making progress in negotiations for a new contract, according to CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora.
The Bears had refused to trade Robinson, leading many to believe that a new, long-term contract was on the horizon, however the report indicates that a new deal is unlikely.
Robinson seems more and more likely to hit the free agent market in 2021.
Robinson is building a solid campaign in 2020, hauling in 18 passes for 230 yards and a score for the Bears this season, which may be his last in Chicago.
