Blue Jays’ budding ace Alek Manoah didn’t mince words when discussing New York Yankees ace Gerrit Cole, adding further fuel to his rivalry with the Blue Jays’ fellow AL East division team, following his screaming match with Yankees players during the middle of last season.
Now, Manoah is ranking Cole among the top cheaters in the majors.
Manoah was asked who he thinks is the biggest cheater in baseball, and he went right after Cole.
“Gerrit Cole,” he said, via Starting9. “He cheated, he used a lot of like sticky stuff to make his pitches better, and he kind of got called out on it.”
