Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Van Jefferson will undergo knee surgery on Tuesday, Rams head coach Sean McVay announced on Monday, adding that the procedure is minor, according to CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones.
The news comes on the heel of Monday’s announcement that Jefferson was set to see a knee specialist later in the day, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport. Jefferson had missed practice on Saturday.
Jefferson played through a knee injury during the 2021 season and through the Rams Super Bowl championship run.
