The Los Angeles Rams are considering starting newly acquired quarterback Baker Mayfield, just days after being awarded him off waivers, as they get set to take on the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday night, according to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero.
The Rams reportedly prefer to start John Wolford in place of the injured Matthew Stafford, but he may not be healthy enough to play as he still is making his way back from a neck injury, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Mayfield has been going through the worst season of his career and has now been jettisoned by his original team, the Cleveland Browns, and the team that traded for him during the offseason, the Carolina Panthers.
