Unfortunately for the Los Angeles Rams, the 2022 season was rather rough, in part due to the season ending injury suffered by their superstar wide receiver Cooper Kupp during a Week 10 game against the Arizona Cardinals.
Cupp was on the receiving end of a hit in the fourth quarter of action that forced him off the field and to the locker room where he would be diagnosed with an ankle injury that would bring his season to an abrupt end.
The Rams would limp their way to a 2-6 record the rest of the season.
Now, Kupp has had the time between then and now to rehab the injury and is primed to bounce back in a big way for the Rams for the upcoming 2023 season, one that the Rams are hoping will go much better than their 2022 campaign.
Kupp said that he is “feeling really good” about his recovery from the ankle injury so far, which should create a lot of buzz on sports social media platforms.
“I mean, you don’t know until you’re out here doing football stuff and really putting the ankle through the stuff that you know is required to play football,” Kupp said, according to Pro Football Talk.
“You can’t simulate this stuff. So I don’t know if we’ll really know. I feel right now as we’ve been pushing it pretty hard, I feel really good. And so I’m itching to be out there and it’s a good place to be now where I feel like I’m asking for more and wanting to do more and feeling like you’re getting held back versus feeling like they’re pushing you to do more, you know? So we’re in a good place now where I feel like I want to get out there and play and they’re being cautious with it.”
The Rams will be monitoring Kupp’s progress as he works his way back to the field this summer. But, for now, the Rams can celebrate some good news in which Kupp seems fully strapped in on the road to recovery.
