Los Angeles Rams superstar wide receiver Cooper Kupp is increasingly unlikely to suit up for the Rams 2023 season opener against the Seattle Seahawks, a major blow for the team, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.
Kupp reportedly suffered a setback while rehabbing his latest injury.
“Based on my understanding, it seems unlikely that he’s (Cooper Kupp) unlikely to play Week 1. The reason is, it is a short week right now. It would be a short turnaround for him to potentially get on the field, start running, and play Week 1″ Rapoport said.
Kupp continues to deal with a hamstring issue, but the star wideout is taking steps to deal with the injury much better.
“#Rams star WR Cooper Kupp is in Minnesota today visiting with a noted body specialist to further understand his hamstring issue, sources say. With two pulls in one summer, the hope is to fully comprehend the root of the issue. Coach Sean McVay has described him as ‘day-to-day,’” Rapoport said over the weekend.
Kupp is one of the best receivers in the NFL when healthy and his health will have a significant impact on the Rams this upcoming season.
