The San Antonio Spurs, who had been struggling to find a consistent fixture at the point guard position, finally got their floor general after agreeing a one-year contract worth more than $11 million with veteran point guard Chris Paul, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Paul, 39, was released by the Golden State Warriors, we waived him on the day that his $30 million salary for the 2024-25 season was set to guarantee and now will play his 20th NBA season in San Antonio just hours following his departure from the Warriors.

Paul, a 12-time All-Star, accepted a bench role for the first time in his Hall of Fame career and started only 18 of the 58 games he played in Golden State averaging 9.2 points and 6.8 assists in 26.4 minutes.
