The Dallas Cowboys are releasing right tackle La’el Collins on Thursday as the Cowboys, who were trying to trade Collins, failed to find a trade partner to take Collins in a deal, according to ESPN’s Todd Archer.
Collins, 28, will be designated a post-June 1st cut which will save the Cowboys $10 million in cap space, as opposed to only $1.3 million if they were successful in executing a trade with another team.
Collins has been linked to a number of teams, including the Miami Dolphins, who have glaring needs on the offensive line and plenty of cap space to ink Collins to a new contract.
