The Los Angeles Lakers were seemingly started to turn their struggling season around as they embarked on a crucial stretch run of the regular season, but may have to move on without their franchise player LeBron James.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, James is undergoing further testing and conversations to learn the full extent of the injury but the Lakers fear that the superstar forward will miss several weeks with a right foot injury.
James suffered the injury during the Lakers epic comeback victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday. James, 38, was walking with a noticeable limp following the conclusion of the game against Dallas.
During the All-Star Weekend James dubbed the final stretch of the Lakers’ regular season “23 of the most important games” of his career, but it now appears that he will not be a part of that stretch run.
