Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was with his team as they practiced on Friday, their last practice before Sunday’s AFC Championship tilt against the Buffalo Bills, but Mahomes remains in the NFL’s concussion protocol, according to ESPN’s Adam Teicher.
For now, the Chiefs remain in a waiting mode to see if Mahomes can be cleared in time to take the field against the Bills this weekend. The Bills are planning for Mahomes to play.
Friday’s practice also saw the returns of wide receiver Sammy Watkins (calf), running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (hip, ankle) and cornerback Bashaud Breeland (concussion, shoulder) for Kansas City.
