After his rocky run with the Washington Football Team came to an end, officially, earlier this week, quarterback Dwayne Haskins was hoping that another team would take a shot on him after he hit the waiver wire.
However Haskins went unclaimed on waivers, and is now officially a free agent only 18 months since Washington drafted him in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, according to NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo.
Washington still owes Haskins the balance of his fully guaranteed rookie deal.
With Haskins out of the picture, Washington now has Alex Smith and undrafted free agent Taylor Heinicke available for their upcoming tilt against the Philadelphia Eagles.
