New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones hasn’t had the easiest tenure with the Giants during his young career, and Giants fans haven’t always showered Jones with praise, but that changed after the Giants clinched a playoff berth, their first since 2016.
Jones led the Giants to a 38-10 win over the Indianapolis Colts in what could be one of his best performances thus far, and did it in front of a the home crowd.
Jones scored 4 touchdowns, adding 177 passing yards and 91 rushing yards to garner a loud ovation from the crowd at MetLife Stadium, which Jones certainly took note of and discussed following the game.
“That was a special moment,” Jones said, according to Dan Duggan of The Athletic. “A lot of guys who put in a lot of work. We’ve been through, certainly, some tougher times, and it feels good to be on this side of it, for sure. Special moment with those guys. Really proud of this team, proud of what we did today. Grateful to be a part of it.”
The Giants are currently the sixth seed and will hit the road for the Wild Card Round when the playoffs officially kick off, but their opponent has yet to be determined.
