The New Orleans Pelicans may be on the verge of needing a new point guard as Lonzo Ball’s exit from the team this upcoming offseason seems like a strong possibility, according to The Athletics’ Shams Charania.
Ball, 23, is set to hit restricted free agency this summer, and the Pelicans would have to match any offer sheet he signs in order to keep him. However, as the report indicates, New Orleans is unlikely to match any significant offer sheet.
The report goes on the name the Chicago Bulls and the Los Angeles Clippers as two teams that are expected to be interested in Ball this summer.
