New Orleans Pelicans franchise star Zion Williamson has been playing at a high level to start the 2022-2023 season and his play has garnered some praise from one of the game’s best, Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James.
Williamson dropped 27 points, five rebounds, and seven assists against James’ Lakers on Wednesday night, and James was full of praise following the Lakers intense 120-117 victory over New Orleans
“It’s so funny when you hear people like, ‘Just stop him from going left. Stop him from going left.’ It’s the same thing I heard so many years with [Manu] Ginobili: ‘Just stop him from going left.’ Lamar Odom, ‘Stop him from going left.’ When you’re great, no matter what you do, they’re going to figure out a way,” James said, according to The Washington Post’s Ben Golliver.
“Zion is on the verge — he’s going to be great in this league for a long time. So, tonight he showed who’s he’s gonna be.”
