New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson will not play on Thursday against the San Antonio Spurs after he was placed in the league’s health and safety protocols, according to ESPN’s Andrew Lopez.
Williamson has been stellar for the Pelicans this season, and has been the catalyst for their 18-12 record and third place ranking in the Western Conference at this point during the 2022-2023 regular season.
Williamson, who is in his fourth season, is averaging 25.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 60.3% from the field for New Orleans this season.
