Oklahoma City Thunder superstar guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander isn’t a big fan of the game of Los Angeles Lakers star and future Hall of Famer LeBron James and shared his thoughts following the Thunder’s 101-100 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday.
Gilgeous-Alexander said that he “never liked” James’ game, stating that “was just super athletic” and he “wasn’t [like] that”.
“He was 6’8″, and super strong and I wasn’t that either,” Gilgeous-Alexander said.
Naturally, Gilgeous-Alexander received a lot of backlash on social media for his take, with a number of fans and analysts alike sharing their own takes. Gilgeous-Alexander has been called a hater for his thoughts, but he really didn’t bash James’ game.
Gilgeous-Alexander seemed to be stating that James’ game, and that of others in the NBA, really didn’t help him mold his game.
